Springdale
2-storey house extension in Bieldside creating an additional 80 sq.m of floor area to provide a new Hobby Room, Dining room, Family Room and Kitchen. The family room, constructed with a timber kit, had been positioned over the existing double garage and is supported at the first-floor level by a new steel beam.
An air source heat pump extracts heat from the air to heat this home and provide hot water.

Quay Architecture removed a section of the rear granite wall to the existing kitchen to allow us to create an open-plan kitchen and new Garden Room, which flows and connects to the outdoor spaces creating an indoor/outdoor feel.

From an existing, unattractive flat roof, Quay Architecture extended the existing pitched roof to provide a family room/study and a master bedroom with en-suite.
Rationalising the ground floor layout created a much sought-after kitchen/dining room with connectivity to the rear garden.
